This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast North Carolina,
eastern Virginia and southeast Virginia.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
Hazardous weather is not expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Summer-like heat and humidity build ahead of an approaching cold
front Wednesday and Thursday. Highs warm into the low to mid 90s
each day, with heat index values around 100 degrees Wednesday and in
the 100 to 105 degree range on Thursday. Heat Advisories may be
needed for all or part of the outlook area.
Additionally, Showers and thunderstorms are expected with the
frontal passage Thursday evening. Some storms could be strong to
severe, with damaging wind gusts and large hail as the main threats.

There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Heat indices may reach 95 to 100 degrees on Wednesday and again in
the south and east on Thursday.
In addition, scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible
Thursday afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will soar to potentially dangerously high levels this
weekend into next week. Some of the hottest temperatures and heat
indices of the year (so far) are expected with afternoon highs in the
upper 90s, while heat index values may approach 105 degrees.
