Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible Saturday
afternoon and evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday night through Friday
Isolated strong to severe storms possible Sunday and Monday (5-10%
chance) for portions of east- central Nebraska. The highest
chance for severe storms will arrive Tuesday (15%). The primary
threats will be damaging winds and hail. Heavy rainfall and flash
flooding are also possible (5% chance) with showers and storms
Monday night through Wednesday.

Kansas tonight, but the potential for severe storms is low.

Slight chances for storms will remain for mainly the overnight
hours Saturday through Tuesday night. Widespread severe storms are
not expected with this activity.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight
Isolated thunderstorms are possible in far northern Iowa this
afternoon to evening, though much of the area will remain dry.
Any storm that does develop is not anticipated to be severe.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
Additional isolated thunderstorms are forecast Saturday afternoon
to evening in northern Iowa. The probability of severe weather is
low during this time.
More widespread thunderstorm chances are then forecast from Sunday
into next week, with severe weather possible at times. Localized
ponding and river rises are also possible, in addition to the
potential for flash flooding with this activity. Specific details
during that time frame will be better known in the coming days.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated lightning risk.
Limited excessive rainfall risk
DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to
develop and move across portions of the area the rest of this
afternoon into early this evening, then coverage will decrease the
rest of the evening. Additional thunderstorms may then develop
late tonight into Friday morning across portions extreme
southeastern Kansas and far southwestern Missouri. Brief heavy
rainfall and lightning will be the main risk with any of these
storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across area west of
Highway 65 Saturday afternoon and evening. Additional storms will
develop across the central plains and could track into the area
late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Some gusty winds will be
possible with this activity mainly along and west of Interstate
49.
A chance of thunderstorms exists daily Sunday into the middle of
next week generally in the 15 to 40 percent chance range.
Lightning and heavy rain will be the main risks with any
thunderstorms.
Heat index values may approach 100 degrees by the middle of next
week.
